We are finally getting closer to breaking ground on our house! After the initial sticker shock, we will be closing on the loan here in a few weeks. It has been so nice to have a mortgage less than my rent in Grandview, but the trade-off (trade-up!) will sooo be worth it! There are some things we won't miss-small kitchen, only 2 bedrooms, nosy neighbor karen (see picture below), the list goes on...
A realtor came by today to look at the house and discuss the market. She had nothing but good things to say-woo hoo!- she loved the color scheme and the shingles in the kitchen! There has been an increase in traffic through the office and people are out looking to buy. Her group has been good to work with in selling my grandparents' house in Grove City. I figure if they can get showings at this time of year in an area "off the beaten path", then maybe there is hope for a "Westgate charmer"! She said she would feel comfortable showing the house today for a nice asking price. There are only a few things that we want to do to get things ready, so hopefully in a few weeks we will be ready to go.
Madeline got to visit with her Aunt Mel this weekend. Great fun was had by all! I was a total slacker and forgot to get any new pics-bad mommy!
