After more than 6 months of sporadic showings and polite feedback but no offers, we lowered our price significantly this week. The new house is in the home stretch (5-6 weeks) and we really don't want 2 mortgages in this stage of our lives. I was also unsuccessful in spinning it as a Columbus vacation property.
Jessie met with the realtor on Wednesday to lower the price. We had a first time showing on Thursday afternoon- but no feedback. On Friday, we received an offer on the house from someone who came through a second time last week but said 'price' was their reason for not considering the house. Apparently, we hit their magic number.
We submitted a reasonable counter offer this evening that we hope will be accepted. Here's hoping!
